Where to stay in a caravan with sleeping bags, problem-free?

Choosing where to park and stay in a caravan with sleeping bags, problem-free, is the first issue that arises when thinking about going away. It’s normal. In order to fully enjoy your trip and control any unforeseen circumstances that could arise, you must know where you can rest and stay in a motorhome.

This post offers you the information necessary to help you decide where to spend the night in your vehicle. Public or private areas for motorhomes, on the road or, for greater comfort, at a campsite. Don’t worry: we’ll take a look at the pros and cons of each although the last option is definitely the most recommended. Read on to find out why!

Places where you can stay in a caravan with sleeping bags

Where is the best place to stay with your motorhome? Let’s take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of each option so you can choose the option that suits you best. Take note of the details!

Public or private areas for motorhomes

Public areas for caravans with sleeping bags are places where you can stay and that also have an additional service, such as water, electricity, and grey water sewage draining facilities. Depending on the area, it may have certain services or others. We recommend you take a look at the ‘Areas AC’ to plan in advance so you know where you can find each one and what services they have.

Parking hours at these areas are usually limited to between 24 and 72 hours.

On the other hand, private areas for motorhomes may be used for a fee and they usually provide additional services, such as WiFi, showers and, most importantly, greater security surveillance.

Sleeping in your motorhome on the road

What do we mean by this? You will normally have the choice of sleeping in your motorhome at petrol stations or service stations. They have services and facilities similar to those of public areas for motorhomes but they don’t usually have much security, for which reason we only recommend doing this when absolutely necessary.

However, it’s good to consider this option as it may be useful for making a short stop to take a break from hours at the wheel before continuing on your journey.

If you decide to spend the night at one of these places, we recommend you call the local police to make sure you are allowed to make an overnight stop with your type of vehicle. That way your questions will be answered regarding any possible risks.

Campsite with motorhome plots

Of course, this is the best option that ensures you sleep with peace of mind, safety and all the services you need close by. Electricity, satellite television, and even WiFi. But that’s not all. During the hottest months of the year you can make use of a campsite’s swimming pool for a refreshing dip and then continue on your way.

Meet more people like you, fans of the camping lifestyle, build friendships and enjoy memorable moments while taking a break. What more could you ask for?
