Calpe<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong><\/a>is one of the favourite destinations on the Costa Blanca, especially famous for its imposing Pe\u00f1on de Ifach, which gives the landscape and its beaches a very unique backdrop. The best coves in Calpe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Discover the best coves of Calpe’s 13 kilometres of coastline!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On your visit to the east coast, we want you to discover the best places to lose yourself in the peace and quiet and the long hours of sunshine that the Mediterranean gives us. We start with the coves that go from Calpe in the direction of Benissa, once we have passed the beach of La Fossa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Calpe to Benissa<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Calalga Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Perfect for snorkelling<\/strong>, this beach is located at the end of the promenade of the Fossa beach. As it is a bit more secluded, even in the middle of summer it is not very crowded and with luck you can find a good place to spend the day with the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It has two access areas, one down the ramp to the small sandy beach and the other down the stairs to an area covered with dry seaweed where you can lie under a natural stone roof.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Calalga is a cove with very calm waters<\/strong> and fine sand, perfect for enjoying a peaceful swim! It also has the services of a beach, such as lifeguard and footbaths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend wearing water shoes because there are rocks to enter the sea, but once inside the sea the temperature is ideal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mallorqu\u00ed Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Following the Benissa ecological path, we find the Cala del Mallorqu\u00ed cove, next to Calalga.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a very small cove, just 80 metres long, made of rocks and gravel, but practically untouched, with incredibly clear waters<\/strong>, perfect for snorkelling!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is easily accessible via a wooden staircase leading down from the pathway – the kids will have a great time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bassetes Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A beautiful spot with crystal clear waters. Between Benissa and Calpe you will find Cala de les Bassetes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This cove has posidonia sea beds, so get your snorkelling goggles ready to explore the marine life of this immense natural gift. Another fun activity for the whole family in this area is paddle surfing, ideal for the calm waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can walk there from Calpe if you follow the Paseo Ecol\u00f3gico that goes all the way to Benissa, a beautiful path to visit with the whole family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From La Fossa towards Puerto Blanco<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Penyal Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the foot of the Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach, we find the Cala del Penyal, where nature is the protagonist. It is a naturist cove, which can be reached via a small path on the north face of the Rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to its easy access on foot, it is also perfect for fishing or anchoring if you have a small boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rac\u00f3 Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever explored an underwater trail<\/strong>? This cove is beautiful and without a doubt one of the best coves in Calpe, so get ready for a unique experience!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indeed, Cala el Rac\u00f3 has an underwater trail that you can follow while diving. You will find signposted panels on buoys and signs with information on the species and animals that you can greet on your dive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cala el Rac\u00f3 is located just on the other side of the rock, opposite the port of Calpe. This is also the starting point of the Pr\u00edncipe de Asturias ecological promenade, perfect for when the sun’s rays lose some of their intensity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One more detail! This cove has a lifeguard service and flags indicating the state of the sea for bathing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morell\u00f3 Cove and the Ba\u00f1os de la Reina (Queen’s Baths)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At the foot of the Infanta Elena promenade, between the urban beach of Calpe and Cala Morell\u00f3, are the Ba\u00f1os de la Reina (Queen’s Baths).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ba\u00f1os de la Reina<\/a> are part of the Roman remains of a site dating back to the 1st-3rd century BC. Can you imagine bathing in a Roman-era building? There are still six rafts that were once used for fish farming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a real pleasure to swim in these little pools. The water breaks just on the other side of the sea rock wall. The water flows in and out and this current is what keeps it crystal clear, and the floor is made of sand that has entered very little by little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manzanera Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Cala la Manzanera is snorkelling and architecture! This cove is located next to the buildings built by the architect Ricardo Bofill, an icon of the 1970s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An ideal cove for diving and snorkelling due to the stupendous ecosystem of its seabed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Puerto Blanco Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Near the Puerto Blanco Marina<\/strong> we find a small cove of barely 100 metres, but with impressive views of the Pe\u00f1\u00f3n de Ifach and Calpe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a cove of fine sand with rocky areas and all the necessary services for a comfortable day at the beach: toilets, footbaths, lifeguards, walkways\u2026 In the evenings, in summer, small concerts are organised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les Urques Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Your dogs are welcome!<\/strong> Located at the end of the marina of Puerto Blanco, Cala les Urques is perfect to visit also with your pets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gasparet Cove<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you go on a family excursion with kayaks, you can access Cala Gasparet<\/a><\/strong>! It is a cove of pebbles, which can only be accessed by sea. It has lifeguards and lifeguards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
