The ACSI Card is sold with the ACSI Guide, which costs 16,95 euros. They offer a number of benefits, in particular fixed rates and discounts in the low season at over 3,600 camp sites in Europe which are audited by ACSI Europe technicians. In the following lines we would like to explain what the ACSI Card is and how it works.
What is the ACSI card? We tell you everything you need to know
ACSI stands for Auto Camper Service International. It is a Dutch company that was founded by Ed Van Reine in 1965. At first it only had 55 campsites, a number far away from the more than 10.000 campsite in Europe that are now analysed every year. Of these, as you know, around 3,600 are integrated into the platform and accept ACSI discount cards.
It should be noted that these 10,000 campsites throughout Europe are visited every year during the winter and spring months, when they are less occupied. This task is performed by about 300 inspectors from the company. In their inspection they evaluate about 200 characteristics of each campsite, in order to create guides and magazines that bring together all this information. They are a reference in the sector, as you can find reliable information on the plots available for both tents and motorhomes.
How does the CampingCard ACSI work?
One of the things that interests the most the potential ACSI card users is to know how it works. The truth is that it is really simple. The first thing you have to do is to check if the camping site you want to go to is one of the 3,600 campsites which are included in the advantages offered by the card.
Please note that the card offers special prices for all those campsites that have the CC logo, which will depend on each centre. The main advantage is that it maintains low rates that are cheaper than the more affordable ones offered by the campsite. Of course, despite this better price you can enjoy all the services and facilities of the campsite.
In addition to enjoying a cheaper price for your stay at the campsite, it is possible that it offers other benefits and discounts that will make your holiday even better.
Discounts for CampingCard ACSI are up to 60 % in the spring and autumn seasons at camp sites. In particular, two people can be accommodated for 12, 14, 16, 18 or 20 euros per night.
It is worth remembering the instructions on the CampingCard site itself for using the card, so please pay attention!
- Fill in the reverse side of the ACSI discount card completely, as only one fully completed card will be accepted. Your discount card is valid for one calendar year and is not transferable.
- Show your discount card (valid for 2 adults) when you arrive at the camping site. It is important to indicate that you have a ACSI card when you make a reservation, if possible.
- You will pay the ACSI discount rate of only 12€, 14€, 16€, 18€ or 20€. If you pay after your stay, show your discount card when paying the bill at reception.
The card is especially advantageous for families who travel with little children. There are hundreds of campsites that offer free accommodation for up to three children aged 5 or under, included in the price of the ACSI card.
Which conditions must a camping site satisfy in order to be included in the ACSI card?
It should be pointed out that until a few years ago the number of campsites that could be included in the card was limited, since if there was another one nearby it was not possible.
However, over time the rules were changed, as it was considered that if a campsite met the requirements to be integrated into the ACSI card it was sufficient, so, the proximity restriction was removed.
When it comes to deciding whether a campsite can be part of the card, about 200 points are examined, which are included in these aspects:
- Quality/price ratio
- Suitable for children
- Sports facilities
- Swimming pool
- Eating and drinking
- Size of the plots and their services
- Location of the campsite and its correct coordinates
- Rules of the campsite
- Dog and Facility Rules
- Details for caravans and large motorhomes
Where can I buy the ACSI CampingCard?
The ACSI card is available together with the ACSI guide, as you know, which can be bought online or at one of the partner campsites. You can find out which camp sites are included by visiting their website.
Without doubt, the ACSI card is a great option for all campers. At Camping Villasol you can take advantage of all its discounts, do you already have yours?
