Holidays in Benidorm, what do you need to know?

Spending a holiday in Benidorm is synonymous with enjoying yourself to the full! All the leisure and relaxation options you can imagine are waiting for you here. Without a doubt, our favourite plans are to enjoy the natural surroundings and the unique gastronomy. Whatever age you are… It’s impossible to get bored! Read on and find out what to do on your next holiday in Benidorm.

Family holidays in Benidorm

To begin with, a visit to the centre and the seafront promenade is a must. Take a stroll through the Old Town, discover the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, narrow streets with incredible views… But if anything is going to leave you open-mouthed, it’s the Castle and the Balcony of the Mediterranean. A staircase that goes into the sea while offering a 360º panoramic view. You won’t be able to stop taking pictures!

From here, you have the Poniente beach on one side, which is the longest beach in Benidorm and the ideal route to enjoy the more traditional side of Benidorm. It is the ideal area to enjoy the best Alicante rice.

On the other side of the Mirador, you have Levante Beach, which has more nightlife, more pubs and more bars. It runs parallel to the Avenida del Mediterráneo, which means plenty of shops of all kinds to lose yourself in during the day.

Another of the most highly recommended plans is a visit to Benidorm Island. A boat trip that is ideal to enjoy a totally natural terrain while you are in contact with the fauna of the area. If you want to discover islands, there are also excursions from Benidorm to Tabarca Island, a Marine Reserve renowned for its crystal clear waters.

But… Are you looking for thrills? Benidorm is one of the places with more amusement parks nearby. There is something for everyone, don’t hesitate to discover them!

Discover the surroundings of Benidorm

Benidorm is also a special place because of everything that goes with it, namely its privileged location. If you want to discover more magical corners of the province of Alicante, there’s nothing like taking the car, setting up Google Maps and letting yourself go.

You have charming villages that you will never forget, such as Altea with its white houses and its church square, or Guadalest with its castle and its green surroundings. You also have villages that know how to make the best of summer, such as Calpe, Benissa and Moraira-Teulada. They have countless coves that are like small paradises with transparent waters, ideal for disconnecting or practising water sports. This does not mean that they are not just sun and beach destinations, as they have such privileged options as the Peñón de Ifach, the Benissa Ecological Promenade and the Old Town of Moraira. These places are steeped in history and are icons of the postcards of the Mediterranean.

South of Benidorm, the first thing you’ll come across is the village of Villajoyosa. Its promenade is an unmissable stop and you’ll fall in love with its coastline full of colourful houses!

Sport in Benidorm

Going on holiday to Benidorm doesn’t mean giving up your sporting routine. In fact, you can try new sports that you haven’t tried yet. The possibilities in terms of water sports are endless, although our favourites are always snorkelling and kayaking.

But if you feel like getting away from the coast and want to discover the inland, you have no less options. In fact, there are hiking routes with all the comforts, such as the routes of the Serra Gelada Natural Park, and trails for cycling. In both cases, you can find trails for all ages, whether for children or for professionals. There are options for a quiet bike ride with the family and descents only suitable for the most daring.

Did you know about these options for your next holiday in Benidorm? And you can do it all from our campsite! Don’t miss any of our blog posts to continue learning all the secrets that surround Benidorm.
